About Laptop Forge
The best laptops of 2027 are ranked by Laptop Forge's annual evaluation of notebook computers, scored across performance, battery life, value, display quality, portability, and repairability.
Who we are
Laptop Forge is an evaluation desk for laptop hardware. We publish one ranked list per year, scored on a single public method. The desk is editorial, not a vendor: we accept no sponsored placements, and every unit entry links to its official site.
How we work
Fields enter a ranking only once they are attributed: first-hand checks against vendor official pages, or named quotes from reviewer surveys (CNET, PCMag, ZDNET ) with an access date. Anything unverified is marked as such rather than estimated. The current edition is 2027 annual — 9 units, method version 2026.10, data window 2026.10 — and it is provisional until the 2027 field refresh completes. The list is updated between editions when a vendor ships a material change, and the annual edition is archived at a permanent URL (/rankings/2027).
